Travel Details
There are several ways to reach Montrichard and we have tried most of them!
Driving (Approximately 6 hours from Calais) - This is our preferred way
Helpful websites: Euro tunnel , P&O Ferries , Seafrance , Brittany Ferries, LD Lines, Norfolk Line
Other routes include the A1 motorway, which goes via Paris and links with the A10, but it is very busy! or via ports such as Caen.

Approach from Montrichard

Approach from Blois
Flying
Helpful Websites: RyanAir , Easyjet , British Airways
Tours is the nearest airport to 36 Rue de Blois. Our experience is that Ryanair are the best from Stansted. Poitiers is an alternative destination.
In addition, there are cheap flights with many airlines to Paris, where it is possible to complete the journey by car or train.
Train
Helpful Websites: Eurostar , TGV , Rail Europe
Those who prefer to travel by train can take the Eurostar from Waterloo, Ebbsfleet or Ashford. Change for the TGV (high speed train) to Tours at Lille (just swap platforms) or Paris (short trip from the Gare du Nord to Montparnasse on the Metro).
The TGV station at Tours is St. Pierre des Corps, which is just to the East of the town. All trains for Montrichard, from the Central train station in Tours, stop here. Alternatively car hire is available at this location.
